Cozy thx for banning that idiot Nayru <3

Well I've been dual boxing with Multilaunch trading back & forth between acc's. Using them to open Northlands in pre ect ect & nothing bad happen yet. I don't pvp so maybe that's why i'm safe with these not sure.

Acct resto has been gone but it can still be turned on which it is in GW2.

I don't see no reason to use gwx2 for perma pre chars. to run them over the gate.

I wouldn't even care about gold sellers in GW if I were Anet if people want to buy it fine and it turns out to be scam it is at your own risk. You pay them and there is a no show don't whine to Anet.

I don't have twitter so maybe someone else can do this.

Some stuff to ponder.

A. I like Max have traded legitimately with many banned people. We are not banned.

B. I believe that anet looks for people doing the exact same thing over and over in giving bans for botting. That doesn't mean farming luxons assassins for 2 hours at a time, because I've done that many a times. It means they are looking for people doing the EXACT same thing every single time for 24 hours in a row+. That is not human. Farming for 2 hours is human. When a normal person farm, you don't hit all the same skills at the same time. Or run the exact same route. Bots do that. Players don't play like bots, I am sure it is easy for anet to tell the difference.

C. I have ran 2 accounts from my laptop many times, I am not banned. Sometimes I run myself. I am not banned. Granted I don't use multilaunch. So I don't know if that is a factor. But running 2 accounts alone isn't enough to get you banned, because I surely would be.

I really think that the majority of people that got banned, were doing things they shouldn't be. Many people have claimed that they did one of the 3 things in my list alone and were banned. I am very skeptical of that. Anet is looking for people breaking the rules. There is a difference between doing what is in my list of 3 things and breaking the rules. If the 3 things I listed were ban worthy, I think 99.9999% of GW would be banned. But that is clearly not the case. Anet is looking for more major things.

they are looking for people deliberately breaking the rules OVER AND OVER for personal gain.

That is not to say that no one was banned as a mistake. There may be some people that were. I don't know everyone making claims well enough to know if they were legitimately banned. I am just giving my own observations and thoughts.

I wish I could agree with you completely, granted most of what you said is true... unfortunately looking at their head of security's tactics, he went overboard on a lot of his methods. You can't use ArenaNet's tactics as an argument because, quite frankly, they haven't been using the same methods as they did when they had a full staff monitoring the game. In fact, I'm pretty sure, according to a few snippets (can't find links at work) that their staff for guild wars 1 is limited to something like 3 or 4 coders and like 5 other plebs, all of which have projects in GW2 as well.

One prime example is this- Shazbawt detects VMWare users and bans them due to the fact that he thinks they're botting because "wtf who uses vmware other than to hide their bots". However, what he DOESN'T realize is that some people who play at work have to use VMWare to run the game due to the fact that their company may not allow installs on their computers- I know of at least 15 people who do this, 8 of which have been banned so far, and don't ever play at home because they have families to take care of.

Keep in mind that I was rightfully banned, I am merely speaking for the people who I know were banned wrongfully but don't have the time nor the energy to appeal their efforts.

Given all of this information, it's really difficult to determine who is being banned and why, even with the facts!

Yeah, I'm still waiting for certain people that I am pretty sure aren't legit to get banned myself...

Sad to say, too many got banned and the appeal take too long time.

about texmod: i also heard there are bad version, which will give players an advantage, so be warned
i never used texmod myself, and am i happy.... in case this would go wrong

i'm not banned, and i never use texmod and dont even know how programs from bots look like, as i rather play the game myself, not let it get done by some program, cuz then i wont be able to have any goals..... would be useless if i'd let something else do all my goals

thought i'd just note this, that i'm not banned and dont use texmod and other programs which connect to GW.... and nothing else that would give me advantages, not even goldsell or goldbuy.... well, more ESPECIALLY not that, as i (as i said) rather play the game myself

i wish anet would give us some detailed list of what IS allowed, and what they wont ban you for FOR SURE

I was perma banned on gw2 for trying to flip on the trading post. Basically alt tabbing back into the game every 10-15 minutes and clicking on the TP to check if anything had sold. This apparently flagged my account for use of macros/botting and i got the perma b&. 3-5 days after contacting support they unban me and gave me some free shit that was all account bound and pretty useless for the most part. They also made sure to remind me that reversing the perma was a 1 time thing and if my account comes up with any mischief again i wont even get an appeal

so tl;dr if you are a legit person and has been banned you were probably hit with anets premature auto detection. that guy on twitter is 99% prob not banning every account himself

but if anet has changed what is and what isnt allowed then disregard this post. seems kinda stupid to enforce bans on multilaunch at this point in the games life but thats anets business.

gl to the innocent and lol@ the banned

http://legal.guildwars.com/en/gw-user-agreement-en.pdf ) states in section 4(i) "Related Accounts" that:
"If NC Interactive terminates an Account, NC Interactive may terminate any other Accounts that share the same member name, phone number, email address, postal address, Internet Protocol address, or credit card number with the terminated Account."

Which explains people getting multiple accounts banned whether they botted on them or not.

Just read that earlier today and thought the same thing. But before that is even more interesting.

"(h) Former Members. Members whose Accounts have been terminated by NC Interactive may not access the Service in any manner or for any reason, including through any other Account, without the express written permission of NC Interactive. Accounts accessed by Former Members are subject to immediate termination. NC Interactive reserves the right to use any means necessary, including those in section 4(i) to identify and remove Former Members."

So with any account banned, a person shouldn't play the game at all with any other account, until the ban is removed or you have NC's permission to use another account.

So I jumped on an account (before reading the above) that wasn't banned to run the festival quests on one char. I guess that was a ban worthy offense right? So hands off until I get my other accounts back? So all my accounts are locked down, whether they were "officially" banned or not?

What's sad, is that their giving high priority to tickets revolving reactivation of GW2 accounts. No doubt because of the new expansion. So those of us who have been loyal customers for years have to wait for the newer players to get taken care of first. Money shouts while loyalty whispers.

Been playing on my 'other' accounts since my ban--and did all the festival quests with characters that could...and no ban for those accounts....and my husbands account is still fine (we do share the same ip--go figure, we even LIVE in the same blasted house).

yes, gw2 is much more important --they make money off if it and NONE from gw! They should have thought it thru a bit longer--gee lets ban a bunch of people at the same time we announce our big expansion--that wont cause any problems with support (yeah, right). Their thread is still going (7days w/o reply) oldest one I saw was from the 19th...so it will be some time before they decide to think about looking at tickets from our game (IF they ever do).
(and since I dont have a gw2 account and the beta signin I had is linked to a banned account, I have no way of posting in that thread, so gee...guess I get to wait and see if they do have 'support' or not).

Yes, this is exactly why I was worried about purchasing a new account. I wanted to hear from Anet before I bought a new account, but I have been waiting for 15 days and no reply.

Texmod is fine tho. if you are using it to get cartograpther and it is the only way to do so.
Read here the only part is the warning if it corrupts your client.
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guide...I_enhancements

I would say if anyone has GW2 linked then then both accounts should be fine meaning GW.

I was thinking to buy more copies of gw. In win win sitiation, I supported and spend some money to appreciate gw as a wonderful game, and on the other hand I can have mule account.

Never knew this lead me to be banned. T.T

I don't play pvp. I mainly play uwsc and doasc. Of course some time do some farming manually for consumable and res scroll for own sc consumption. But yet I got banned. So very sad.

----------

I hope support team can reply to my appeal email soon. But I believe they need more time as too many people are appealing and they are busy with gw2 expansion now i guess.

So it is confirmed that people who have been banned aren't getting banned on their brand new accounts? I don't want to spend money if I'm just going to get banned...

Only support team can answer you I think. We are here full of doubts but sad to say no support team appears yet.
